On October 1st at 2:05 pm PST, we have a Full Moon at 9 degrees of Aries. This Full Moon is coming through with abundant cardinal energy of initiation. Here, Libra is also initiating the Fall season.

One of the main themes for this Full Moon is the theme of identity, asking us to explore our true sense of self. Aries helps us to claim who we are in truth and gives us the right to exist. Because the Moon is conjunct with Chiron, the wounded healer, this Full Moon is also asking us to heal old wounds that are connected to our self-identity… this is a time to dig deep into who you are claiming your “I AM”.

The Moon’s opposition to the Sun in Libra reminds us that even though it is important for us to claim our identity, we also cannot forget about how we relate with others, build relationships, and find balance. Libra reminds us that we are also here to create connections and enhance our communications because we’re never alone in this journey.

Mars is in the sign of Aries, near the Moon and Chiron. This assertive warrior energy energizes us and motivates us to act, however, because it is retrograde it asks us to be patient, to check-in with ourselves first and how our need to act fits in with our new sense of self.

In moments like these, it is important to remind ourselves of the Aries Esoteric Mantra: “I come forth and from the plane of mind I rule.” A reminder from us to act from our third eye, to channel all of our root chakra energy to our clearer expanded vision of a better world. Here we are able to see things more clearly and not so impulsively.
