New Moon in Virgo

Restart, Cleanse & Purify

The New Moon occurs today, Monday, September 2nd at 6:56 pm PT at 11° of Virgo. When the Sun and the Moon meet in the earth sign of Virgo, we have a chance for a fresh restart, a cleanse, and a time to declutter chaotic energy.

For the past month, the Asteroid Vesta (also known as Hestia) has been traveling very closely with the Sun. When Vesta was conjunct with the Sun in Leo she was bringing a level of devotion to our creative endeavors, and now that she is in Virgo, we can feel a heightened commitment to our workfocus purifying our unhealthy habits, and a sense of sacredness around our service.

The New Moon is making a close opposition to Saturn at 16° of Pisces. Saturn is known for emphasizing the importance of a solid plan, structure, and obligations in our daily routines. With Vesta & Saturn's influence in the sky, there's an air toward maturation, dedication, and duty.

One important collective transit to keep in mind is Pluto's re-entry into the sign of Capricorn. Pluto has been retrograde in Aquarius since May 2nd encouraging us toward shadow work and a deeper examination of ourselves, however, this time, it will be moving back into the sign of Capricorn for a FINAL TIME, closing out a chapter that began in January of 2008!!! Capricorn will fully complete its cycle in Capricorn on November 19th.

Questions to reflect on during this New Moon...

  • What daily routines need a fresh restart in your life?

  • What structures are needed for you to feel more grounded?

  • Look back to what has happened in your life since January of 2008...what chapter are you ready to close in the next 2 months?

May Vesta's crone wisdom guide us as we complete Pluto in Capricorn cycle...
