Full Moon in Leo

Awakening to a New Paradigm 

On January 20th, only five days before the Full Moon in Leo, we experienced the Sun & Pluto conjunction as they both moved into the sign of Aquarius, one of this year's most significant transits.

Pluto's entrance into Aquarius marks the beginning of a 20-year cycle for all of us. This cycle will involve the co-creation of a new way of being that involves the integration of technological advancements, infrastructure innovation, and collective empowerment.

Since Pluto takes 248 years to travel through the 12 signs of the zodiac, this is the first time that any living humans will be experiencing this transit. In a way, we were all called to be living during this specific planetary evolution. A paradigm shift.

One of the traits of Pluto's transiting power is that it can bring up the extreme energies of the sign it travels through. Pluto can juxtapose the light and dark, it forces us to become more aware of our collective shadows in service of building a better future.

Pluto transitions can bring up fear within us because during this time we are being summoned to find new solutions to rigid and outdated traditional power structures, and so much of the world can feel unknown. Pluto pushes us into the depths of uncharted territories. 

The contrast of light and dark is also an important theme of this Full Moon with the Moon in Leo and the Sun & Pluto in Aquarius on opposite sides of the sky. The Moon in Leo inspires us to connect with the magnetic, creative, and generous leader within us. Leo inspires us to unapologetically own the FULLNESS of our light.

This Full Moon is also helping us be more aware and conscious of the moments when our Leo pride, possessiveness, dramatic tendencies, and even shame might get in the way of us collaborating within our communities for a vision of a more inclusive society.

The Leo-Aquarius axis reminds us that we must find how we shine through our creative gifts, AND we must also use those gifts toward our Aquarian ideals for the benefit of the collective, not just the individual.
